How long does the booking process take?
Booking Process is designed to not take long, First, register with STS Short Term Service as a Guest, find the suitable property and make your booking from dates available in the information about the advertised property. You should receive an email from the host however it is advisable to contact the Host to confirm dates and their preferred payment process.
STS Short Term Service advise Airbnb and some other OTA.s do not allow direct payment to the host, the “Book Now” button should take you directly to the Host’s advertisement with Airbnb or their other Online Travel Agent’s advertisement e.g Stayz etc. where you can follow up on the booking and payment.
What methods of payment accepted?
STS Short Term Service websites offer PayPal for Payment gateway provides easy payment using various cards. By contacting STS Short Term Service an invoice can be arranged however booking dates may be affected due delays in processing payment. Payments to Host’s can vary, make sure with the host which way and when you need pay.
What do I do if I receive a tax statement?
If you receive an invoice from Your Host, it is your responsibility to pay it or question the invoice as applicable.
STS Short Term Service – Invoice Service will be in the form of a TAX Invoice it may include GST and will require payment as per the Invoice details.
Can I use more than one payment method to pay for a reservation?
STS Short Term Service – Offer various membership listing options – Payment methods may be directly via our website or through invoice.
Importantly: Hosts that are members of an OTA – (Online Travel Agent) normally cannot collect payment from their booking guest directly. therefore
the Host/Owner or their representative agent will contact you on the required amount and payment method.

Can I make changes to a pending reservation request?
To make changes to a pending reservation request – the best way is to contact the advertising Host/Owner or their representative agent as soon as possible.
How do I cancel a reservation request?
You can cancel a reservation request from within your “My Account” with STS Short Term Service however it would be best to also contact the host within the time frame they allow. STS Short Term Service terms and conditions suggest within 24 hours of you making the booking, however contact your Host please.
How do I check the status of my reservation?
You can check the status of your reservation from within your “My Account” with STS Short Term Service and by checking your emails or contact the host. Â STS Short Term Service is primarily an online advertising service for short stay accommodation providers.Â
How do I find my reservation?
You will receive emails from your host and can log in to your guest My Account with STS Short Term Service – Australian site.
STS Short Term Service website will send email to you however confirmation should be directly between the Host and You as their Guest.
When am I charged for a reservation?
Payment for your Short Stay Accommodation is paid to the member advertising with STS Short Term Service. The advertisement/listing should include their Link to their Current OTA – Online Travel Agent Member (host) Short Term Rental advertisement you will need to follow payment details from the advertising Host or the Real Estate Agent/Property Manager.
Help on your reservations
What happens if my host cancels my reservation?
You will receive an email or phone call, possibly work it out with the Host, or their representative agent. You should be entitled to a refund if it is cancelled prior to the booking start time e.g. 72 hours before. Contact the Host.
What is the Resolution Center?
STS Short Term Service – Resolution Centre- will endeavour to help the identified Registered Host/Owners or their representative agent and their identified registered Guest with dispute as far as we can.
Remember it is necesseray for Host/Owners or their representative agent to ensure they have the necessary insurance cover for property damage/theft and liability building flood etc. for their Property.
STS -Short Term Service as a marketing service does not provide any form of insurance for either the Guest or the Host/Owners or their representative agent
What should I do if I forgot something at a place I stayed?
Contact the Host/Owners or their representative agent as soon as possible, if possible, send photos and details to help the Host/Owners or their representative agent to locate your forgotten item/s.
Should I book if I have not heard back from the host?
it’s your decision however STS Short Term Service suggest you make sure you can contact the host or their representing agent first.
If you suspect the host advertising with STS Short Term Service is not genuine – Please contact Us with the details of the Hosts Advertisement.
How do I share trip details with others?
Once You have confirmation from the Host of Your booking details, you can email or call the people you want to share your trip details with.
